About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to oversee three SCRUM teams dedicated to HotSchedules Labor, our innovative workforce management solution. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivery, team leadership, and engineering processes among full-stack Java developers, tech leads, and QA automation engineers. While this position is primarily management-focused, a robust technical background is essential to assess architectural decisions and navigate technical trade-offs effectively. Our teams leverage AI coding agents, and your role will include fostering and expanding this practice. The teams are spread across Ukraine, Latin America, and the United States, requiring alignment with EU-timezone working hours. You will facilitate cross-team ceremonies, stakeholder updates, and escalation calls, necessitating excellent English communication skills. Key Responsibilities Lead three SCRUM teams through the complete lifecycle: sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and delivery commitments. Own project delivery outcomes, ensuring teams consistently achieve sprint goals and roadmap milestones.
