Role overview
The Optical Engineer – Freelance AI Trainer works on assignments that draw on deep knowledge of optics and physics. Project tasks can include:
- Creating original optics problems that reflect real-world research workflows in physics
- Designing computationally intensive challenges that cannot be solved manually in a short time
- Developing problems requiring advanced reasoning across areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
- Basing assignments on authentic research scenarios or practical applications in optics and physics
- Documenting problem statements clearly and providing verified, accurate solutions
Requirements
- Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
- Experience with numerical simulation methods
- Ability to create problems that mirror real-world physics research
- Creative problem-solving skills across multiple physics disciplines
- Familiarity with modeling and approximation techniques in physics
- Excellent written English skills at C1 level or above
