Join United Infrastructure Group as an Assistant Project Manager, where you will play a crucial role in delivering vital trenchless crossings along the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture & Storage (LBACCS) onshore pipeline route. This position is integral to ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant execution of a complex program involving microtunnelling, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and auger-bore works—key components in the construction of the CO₂ pipeline. Key ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationAssist in creating delivery plans and program look-aheads while coordinating daily and weekly activities for trenchless crossings.Monitor project progress, track inputs and constraints, and provide regular status updates to the Project Manager.Support the preparation of meeting materials, progress presentations, risk assessments, and action items.Facilitate the flow of information among designers, subcontractors, and site teams (including alignment drawings and permit requirements).Ensure that the latest drawings, risk assessment and method statements (RAMS), and approvals are circulated, understood, and utilized on-site.Safety, RAMS & ComplianceAssist in the preparation, review, and dissemination of RAMS, permits, and safe-system-of-work documentation.Help maintain safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) records, track close-outs, and ensure all briefings are completed.Monitor site compliance and proactively raise issues with the Project Manager.Assist in the collection of project documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs), check sheets, daily logs, non-conformance report (NCR) close-outs, and redline updates.Maintain document control for trenchless packages.Stakeholder & Third-Party CoordinationEngage with asset owners (e.g., highways, utilities, Network Rail) for necessary permits, inspections, or method approvals.Coordinate with land access teams, environmental advisors, and the pipeline construction team to ensure site readiness.Commercial & Subcontractor SupportTrack subcontractor progress, document completed works, and support valuation inputs.Assist in reviewing subcontractor deliverables, resource plans, and variations/early warnings.Help plan shaft access, compound interfaces, deliveries, temporary works sequencing, and readiness inspections.
