As a pivotal member of the team, the Controls & Automation Technician is tasked with the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of Isar Aerospace’s cutting-edge engine test facility situated in the breathtaking Esrange of the Swedish Arctic. This role involves overseeing the electrical systems of the test facility, which includes schematic design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting operations.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Wire and commission the electrical and pneumatic components of automated control systems, including sensors, actuators, and control panels.
- Execute basic upgrades and troubleshooting on the facility’s PLC system.
- Prepare engines and associated subsystems for development and flight testing.
- Oversee and maintain relevant tools and equipment.
- Conduct maintenance on the electrical systems of the facility, while developing and updating the maintenance plan.
- Evaluate and mitigate safety risks associated with electrical systems.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to create an efficient and organized workspace for the team.
- Support operations as needed, which may include performing manual tasks on pressurized and cryogenic systems.
