Join our team as a Bid Coordinator, where you will be an essential asset in the pre-construction and estimating phases, facilitating successful project bids through proactive subcontractor engagement, clear communication, and effective bid management. Collaborating closely with Pre-Construction Managers, estimators, and project teams, you'll ensure that subcontractors receive precise bid documents, submit their proposals promptly, and align with TrueNorth’s high standards of quality and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Subcontractor Engagement: Manage the distribution of bid invitations, including drawings, specifications, and project details to qualified subcontractors, while also following up to enhance proposal participation.
- Bid Document Oversight: Organize and maintain comprehensive bid files, ensuring all drawings, addenda, RFI responses, and communications are accurate and consistent.
- Communication & Support: Act as the primary liaison for subcontractors during the bidding process, addressing logistical inquiries and directing technical questions appropriately.
- Proposal Monitoring & Reporting: Track bid status, oversee subcontractor responses, update bid lists, and provide detailed reports to pre-construction leadership.
- Cost Analysis & Reporting: Evaluate historical cost data and past project pricing to support accurate estimating, benchmarking, and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Template & Form Management: Regularly update, maintain, and enhance estimating templates, bid forms, and standard pre-construction documentation to ensure uniformity and precision.
- Estimator Support: Assist estimators with takeoffs, data entry, file formatting, and administrative tasks to streamline their workflow.
