Core Responsibility: Supermarket Acquisition
- Identify, prioritize, and engage with supermarket chains and independent grocery stores.
- Steer the complete deal cycle: prospecting → pitching → negotiating → contracting → handover.
- Establish partnerships with organizations that have strong potential for quick commerce (q-commerce), focusing on assortment depth, delivery readiness, and pricing competitiveness.
- Secure commercial terms that align with marketplace profitability and growth objectives.
Q-Commerce Readiness
- Evaluate partner operational capabilities for on-demand fulfillment.
- Collaborate on assortment strategy to include top SKUs, high-frequency items, private labels, and promotions.
- Ensure partners can enable fast picking, maintain stock availability, and ensure order accuracy.
Strategic Portfolio Development
- Address geographic and category gaps in supermarket coverage.
- Balance acquisitions between strategic chains (for brand pull and scale) and high-performing local supermarkets (for speed and margin).
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate with onboarding, operations, and catalog teams to ensure go-live readiness.
- Align with marketing teams on launch campaigns and in-app visibility strategies.
- Coordinate with finance and legal teams regarding contracts, billing, and compliance.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor funnel health from leads to meetings, to signed contracts, to live operations.
- Assess the early performance of newly acquired partners, focusing on GMV ramp-up, assortment completeness, availability, and cancellations.
- Provide market insights and competitor intelligence.
