Mapbox collaborates with global OEMs through real-time mapping, navigation UX, and AI vision to redefine the mobility experience.As a Senior Business Development Manager (Automotive, Japan), you will spearhead partnerships with key OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers such as Toyota, Nissan, and Honda, working collaboratively on innovative mobility experiences that include navigation, ADAS, autonomous driving, AR, and EV routing.Your ResponsibilitiesThe automotive landscape is evolving rapidly towards electric and autonomous solutions with an interconnected user experience. At this transformative moment, Mapbox provides real-time maps, superior user experiences, and AI capabilities that empower our OEM partners to forge the future of mobility. Our approach is consultative, fostering long-term relationships to develop businesses with our clients. We are dedicated to transforming their drivers’ experiences to create unique, brand-centric interactions and iteratively improve in-car applications throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing valuable Japanese OEM accounts, including Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. Your efforts will focus on uncovering new opportunities in in-car navigation, augmented reality, ADAS, and automated driving, while nurturing our client relationships from initial contact onward. You will be the senior advisor for all location technology-related matters, drafting project term sheets and negotiating contracts to facilitate long-term account growth. Additionally, you will engage with automotive suppliers to position Mapbox for market expansion. The future of mobility is rooted in location technology, and this journey is just beginning.
