About the Role
We are looking for a talented Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures across our Azure Government Cloud environment, including hybrid and multi-cloud configurations. In this hands-on role, you will enhance and uphold our cloud security posture, safeguarding critical workloads while collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle. You will utilize Microsoft’s native security tools to identify threats, respond to incidents, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including compliance with government requirements such as FedRAMP and CMMC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage security architecture for Azure Government and Commercial deployments, considering DoD IL5/IL6 and FedRAMP High controls.
- Optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and related services for effective threat detection, vulnerability management, and automated response.
- Establish and enforce identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access policies, RBAC, and just-in-time access.
- Secure network architectures using Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, and other Azure security tools.
