Join SumUp as a Self-Employed Field Sales Representative. In this role, you will empower small businesses in your community by providing them with innovative payment and POS solutions while cultivating a significant recurring income for yourself.
This is a fully field-based and face-to-face position where you will engage directly with business owners, comprehend their operations, and propose solutions that genuinely enhance their ability to manage and grow their businesses.
No prior experience in payments is necessary. If you have a background in a customer-facing role, can build rapport swiftly, solve problems effectively, and are motivated to succeed, you will thrive as a Field Sales Representative with us.
Earning Potential
Your income is a direct reflection of your effort.
- Average upfront value per business: ~£500
- Earn 50% upfront commission for each sign-up
- Plus 25% recurring income from each business for up to 5 years
- Around 75% of a customer’s total value is paid in year one
- Additional commission on hardware sales (card machines, POS systems, etc.)

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Field Sales Representative, you will:
- Engage with local SMEs (cafés, salons, shops, restaurants, etc.)
- Develop strong relationships with business owners
- Showcase straightforward, effective payment and POS solutions
- Manage your own territory and sales pipeline
- Convert conversations into long-term customer relationships
- Become a trusted figure in your local business community
