As a Senior Android Developer, you will work alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, including Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Managers, and other talented engineers, to deliver exceptional mobile applications.
Your Role
We are transitioning to a Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) strategy to facilitate shared development across Android and iOS platforms. In this position, you will not only enhance your skills but also play a pivotal role in implementing this innovative technology, influencing the future of our mobile applications.
We are looking for a developer who prioritizes user-centric design, values precision, and excels in collaborative environments. You will bring clarity to communication and thrive within a cross-functional team.
This is a B2B role based in Warsaw.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new features for the item catalog within the SumUp SuperApp.
- Contribute to the architecture of the application and support our Kotlin Multiplatform strategy.
- Maintain and enhance our unified Android application, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions across 60+ countries.
- Drive the evolution of our product by identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in daily decision-making.
- Create comprehensive documentation and execute robust testing for features prior to release.
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, and Android engineers to ensure a cohesive user experience across platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Over 8 years of experience in mobile engineering, specifically with Android and Kotlin.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Jetpack Compose.
- A strong understanding of software design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI) and expertise in creating modular, scalable app architectures.
- Proficient in reactive programming concepts (Flow, Coroutines, and Concurrency).
- A solid grasp of testing best practices, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
