THE ROLE
The Senior Application Security Engineer is a pivotal member of Cognism's Information Security Team, reporting directly to the Application & Infrastructure Security Manager. Your mission is to embed security by design into our engineering and product organization by incorporating modern application security practices throughout the entire development lifecycle. We prioritize building secure, scalable, and resilient systems while enabling rapid and safe business innovation. Our goal is to foster a culture where the fastest path for our engineers is also the most secure path.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Data teams to identify risks within our platform, including those introduced by AI-powered features. You will ensure that appropriate controls, guardrails, and security patterns are integrated into the product from its inception, always balancing the product experience for our numerous large global enterprise customers.
