Qualifications
We are in search of a talented and driven Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer who will spearhead the technical direction and architectural vision of our Predictive Maintenance and Asset Intelligence projects.
You will leverage your extensive machine learning expertise alongside robust software engineering and leadership capabilities—mentoring fellow engineers, scaling systems, and shaping the AI-driven maintenance intelligence roadmap across thousands of industrial sites.
This position lies at the intersection of ML architecture, IoT data systems, and product impact, laying the groundwork for MaintainX’s predictive and generative AI strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
Steer the technical direction for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and LLM-powered intelligence across MaintainX offerings.
Design comprehensive end-to-end ML systems—from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training, deployment, and monitoring.
Mentor a burgeoning team of ML and data engineers, fostering best practices for experimentation, evaluation, and model lifecycle management.
Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to synchronize the AI roadmap with customer needs and business objectives.
Create dependable data and feedback loops that integrate customer telemetry and operator input for model retraining.
Enhance performance optimization using techniques such as quantization, distillation, and scalable inference serving.
Utilize LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face) to develop reasoning systems and agentic workflows for asset and work intelligence.
Ensure ML infrastructure complies with production standards regarding latency, reliability, explainability, and security.
