Qualifications
RequirementsMinimum of 6 years of professional experience in QA automation for web-based applications. Proficient in end-to-end UI automation using Playwright (preferred) or Selenium. Hands-on expertise in API test automation. Familiar with PHP Unit and/or Pest for feature and integration testing within Laravel applications. Comfortable working with at least one of Java or TypeScript/JavaScript as the main automation language. Strong grasp of test design principles, including page object model, data-driven testing, and test isolation. Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. Knowledgeable in MySQL/Postgres for test data setup, validation, and cleanup. Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills across frontend, backend, and API layers. Able to collaborate effectively within a distributed, multi-timezone team (US, UK, Brazil). Outstanding communication skills in English. Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies. Nice to HaveExperience with performance and load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling). Familiarity with contract testing (Pact) or BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behat). Background in SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or large-scale B2B portals. Experience with AI-assisted testing tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) for test generation and maintenance. Understanding of RabbitMQ or other message brokers for event-driven test scenarios. Exposure to AWS services (S3, CloudWatch, SQS).

Role overview
The Senior Automation QA Engineer will take the lead in building a new test automation framework from scratch. This work is essential to ensure the quality and reliability of the unified platform as features are consolidated and clients are migrated.
