The Transfers Gateway squad plays a crucial role by connecting SumUp’s internal systems to external financial networks across the EU and the UK. We are responsible for the services that facilitate daily money movement through various payment schemes. Our team oversees the complete integration process and manages production services that handle real transactions at scale. You will be instrumental in modernizing legacy systems while ensuring reliability, accuracy, and adaptability, making architectural choices that directly impact uptime and enhance the merchant experience across diverse markets.
Our tech stack comprises Go, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes, reinforced by a comprehensive observability toolchain including Prometheus, Grafana, and Honeycomb. We leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to enhance our workflows.
