Position Overview: Senior Backend Engineer - Alerting
This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in Ireland.
Your Role:
As part of the Grafana Alerting team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the Grafana open-source project by providing users with advanced alert management capabilities. This backend-focused team collaborates closely with clients and Grafana Cloud teams to ensure alert functionality that scales efficiently in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Our recent projects highlight the scope of our work, including:
- Developing distributed systems for scalable alert ingestion and delivery for Prometheus-based alerts.
- Integrating alert setup and delivery systems for seamless operation across Grafana and Prometheus.
- Building high-performance systems capable of processing over 500 evaluations per second for Grafana-managed alerts in production.
Grafana Alerting is trusted by numerous organizations worldwide, including those monitoring critical infrastructure and essential medical devices.
