About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Business Affairs Manager to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This position involves working in the office four days a week with one day of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deck reviews, provide callouts, and offer strategic advice on next steps.
- Perform tagline research to ensure brand consistency.
- Conduct risk assessments on various content.
- Review bids in collaboration with producers.
- Develop casting specifications in partnership with producers for casting companies.
- Oversee the management of contracts, including those for production, animation, photography, VFX, editing, and location releases, from drafting to final signature.
- Ensure third-party trademark and intellectual property clearances, including for tattoos, jewelry, and clothing.
- Collaborate closely with the legal department.
- Coordinate with client cost controllers and agency partners.
- Track music costs effectively.
- Manage insurance processes, including claims handling.
- Address general claims related to third parties, music, etc.
- Facilitate network clearance based on client requirements.
- Manage advertising identifiers as needed.
- Oversee regular talent management, excluding celebrities, athletes, and influencers.
- Estimate, handle contracts, and process payments for both union (SAG-AFTRA) and non-union talent, including negotiations, releases, and residual tracking.
- Work with producers on estimates.
- Review rough cuts and final assets for any risk or clearance issues.
- Track and manage all payments, excluding long-form talent agreements.
- Submit purchase orders and invoices, ensuring all payments are tracked and managed through finance.
- Ensure timely payment to vendors in collaboration with account management and finance.
- Track and file all paperwork within job jackets.
- Actualize and close jobs in conjunction with producers and finance.
