Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree or progress towards a degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of experience working in youth programs is acceptable. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Proven experience in workforce development programming and education pathways. Familiarity with immigration laws and their implications for marginalized communities. Experience working with undocumented and/or system-impacted youth. Knowledge of restorative justice practices, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity. A valid California Driver’s License, along with an insured, registered, and operational vehicle for work purposes. Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB test clearance. Availability to work evenings and occasional Saturdays to engage with participants. Willingness to be on call as needed. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

About the job

As a Senior Case Manager at BACR, you will deliver exceptional case management services tailored to youth participants of the CHALK programs. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive intake processes, strategic case planning, court advocacy, and referrals for cognitive behavioral therapy, alongside facilitating connections to essential stabilization services. You will also lead case conferencing sessions with program coordinators and career coaches to enhance the support network for the youth on your caseload. In addition, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at improving staff performance and client outcomes.

CHALK is a dynamic, youth-led initiative focused on transformative development and employment opportunities. Within CHALK, we offer two specialized programs:

  • YouthLine Tech: A job training program designed for youth interested in technology and media careers.
  • Career Pathways for Undocumented Youth: A career exploration program offering cohort-based job training and career opportunities for undocumented youth.
