Qualifications

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English, along with basic math skills for length, area, and volume calculations. Minimum of four (4) years of construction inspection experience, including at least two (2) years in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, excluding Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures, or a Civil Engineering degree with one (1) year of road and bridge CEI experience, with the potential to gain additional required qualifications within one year. At least four (4) years of experience in a transportation construction-related field is preferred. Experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is a plus. A Civil Engineering degree coupled with one (1) year of road and bridge CEI experience can substitute for the four (4) years of experience stated above. Qualifications: CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I certification. CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II certification.

Join CDR Maguire Inc., a leading national engineering and emergency management consulting firm, as a Senior CEI Inspector in District 3. We are expanding our team to support ongoing and upcoming projects across Florida. This pivotal role involves executing complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, performing engineering calculations, inspecting construction activities, and conducting field tests. You will also oversee and coordinate lower-level inspectors, ensuring compliance with project specifications under the guidance of the Project Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor contractor compliance with project contract documents.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of field measurements and quantities for payment, adhering to established plans and policies.
  • Verify adherence to the contractor's health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure all delivered materials align with contract specifications.
  • Assess contractor layout accuracy and compliance.
  • Submit daily reports reflecting work progress in accordance with CDR Maguire’s and the Owner’s standards.
  • Respond to hazardous warnings and signals promptly.
  • Execute sophisticated technical assignments related to field surveying, construction layout, engineering computations, and field testing, while managing lower-level inspectors.

Other Duties:

  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities or as instructed by management.
  • Perform additional tasks as required, consistent with the position's responsibilities.
