Who We’re Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of civil design experience with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington, or the ability to obtain reciprocity. (Internship experience is valuable but does not contribute to the three-year minimum requirement.)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads design software is essential. Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other engineering design tools is advantageous. Working knowledge of AASHTO standards, including the Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, 7th Edition. Familiarity with USDOT/FHWA and MUTCD guidelines for Streets and Highways, 2009 Edition. Understanding of AASHTO's Roadside Design Guide, 4th Edition. Strong comprehension of construction techniques and methodologies. Proven ability to prepare roadway and transportation design documents and specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Civil Design and Development:

  • Utilize your engineering skills on a range of projects, collaborating with colleagues to create innovative solutions employing best practices in linear utility projects, street enhancements, design/build efforts, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Participate in projects related to waterfront and industrial developments, applying your expertise to achieve successful results in these niche areas.
  • Learn to evaluate risks and design mitigation strategies that contribute to project success.
  • Gain insights into ensuring compliance with regulations throughout project lifecycles, including understanding permitting requirements.
  • Enhance your problem-solving abilities by overcoming challenges through both traditional and contemporary engineering methods.

Project Leadership:

  • Oversee project tasks, ensuring effective coordination of timelines, budgets, and resources for successful project completion.
  • Conduct site inspections as needed to guarantee adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Guide and mentor team members to foster their professional growth and development.

Client Engagement and Exceptional Service:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by actively addressing their needs, providing transparent communication, and delivering tailored solutions that align with their goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert insights and proactive support throughout all project phases.
