Role Overview: Senior Compliance Advisory Analyst
The Senior Compliance Advisory Analyst joins the UK Financial Crime Compliance team, working closely with the UK Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Deputy MLRO. This role ensures the company meets statutory and regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and sanctions policies.
This position combines analytical problem-solving with escalation management and direct support for the MLRO’s responsibilities. The analyst plays a key part in implementing compliance frameworks across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage escalation processes, including complex cases from the first line of defense, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new customers, and ongoing monitoring alerts.
- Assess financial crime risks related to new product features, such as Card Payout and Pay to Bank, and provide recommendations to support secure business growth.
- Design and apply risk controls for complex or high-risk business models.
- Carry out Quality Assurance through targeted reviews and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) sampling to uphold compliance standards.
- Act as an internal expert, offering timely advice on UK financial crime laws, policies, and standards.
