Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Regulatory Studies, or 6 years of direct compliance experience in lieu of a degree. Extensive knowledge of current and proposed FERC regulations and requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with skills in team facilitation, leadership, process development, project organization, change management, and performance reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity in SharePoint and Project Wise considered a plus.

  • Conduct thorough reviews and enhance documentation related to FERC regulations and requirements.
  • Evaluate existing policies and procedures for Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) compliance, OASIS, internet postings, and other periodic FERC mandates.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to revise current policies and procedures or create new ones as necessary.
  • Examine evidence documentation associated with compliance tasks and monitor progress on documentation development and compliance storage as per required standards.
  • Aim for uniformity in quality and approach in documentation and compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee and support the comprehensive compliance program within the organization.
  • Engage in research to comprehend the requirements of relevant federal, state, and local regulations applicable to all business sectors within the organization.
  • Monitor compliance practices and perform risk assessments to ensure adherence.
  • Analyze existing policies to identify gaps, recommend new or revised policies and procedures, and propose approval processes and monitoring strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collect data, perform analyses, and prepare documentation relevant to compliance evaluations.
  • Contribute to the creation of new compliance systems and tools to facilitate large compliance projects.
