Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or related fields. Proven hands-on experience with Symantec security solutions (e.g., Symantec Endpoint Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Email Security). Demonstrated proficiency in incident management, threat monitoring, and vulnerability assessment. Certifications:Required: CISSP or CASP. Preferred: CCNA, GSEC, or SCS. Technical Skills:Expertise in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, AV, and network firewalls. Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, and common security protocols. Experience with scripting or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, or Bash). Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.

About the job

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the management team to oversee and optimize all cybersecurity systems, including:

  • Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Antivirus (AV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Proxy servers.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of security alerts and incidents.
  • Classify incidents into appropriate categories based on severity.
  • Implement response actions including notifying system administrators, executing the incident response plan, escalating issues, and documenting incidents thoroughly.
  • Provide timely resolution of user-related security requests.
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and assess attacker methodologies.
  • Create or update cases, and familiarize with new applications and systems.
  • Analyze cybersecurity incidents reported to the Cybersecurity Authority.
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans on internal IP addresses.
  • Monitor compliance with technical security standards as assessed by IT management.
  • Coordinate with various departments during incident investigations.
  • Prepare a monthly summary report detailing the key incidents addressed.
  • Operate and maintain the latest versions of cybersecurity systems.
