You should possess extensive knowledge in dataset creation and management, as well as a proven track record of transforming data into actionable insights by collaborating closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders. You will work alongside accounting and finance teams to enhance the Financial Data Repository, supporting the launch of new business initiatives in payments, finance, tax, and ordering platforms. This position is both challenging and exhilarating, as it involves managing daily adjustments to ensure accurate accounting and maintain orderly financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop vital data pipelines with a scalable distributed architecture, including data ingestion (streaming, events, and batch processing), integration, and curation.
- Continuously refine reporting and analysis processes, promoting self-service capabilities for business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain a reusable framework for data ingestion, integration, and provisioning.
- Automate end-to-end data pipelines, incorporating metadata management, data quality checks, and auditing processes.
- Build and manage a cloud-based big data platform.
- Define and implement job automation and testing procedures.
- Enhance data pipelines to accommodate machine learning workloads and use cases.
- Support crucial applications and real-time data requirements from the data platform.
- Gather and disseminate metadata and new data to subscribed users.
- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, product managers, and data scientists, actively engaging in design-thinking sessions.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Inspire, mentor, and serve as a role model for fellow development team members utilizing the platform.
