Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This involves building robust data models, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling: Design and implement efficient data models within Power BI to support business analytics.
- Report & Dashboard Development: Craft engaging reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service.
- Data Integration: Connect and integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and flat files.
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Analyze data to uncover trends and insights, visualizing findings through compelling graphics.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize BI solutions for speed and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Partner with business users and IT teams to gather requirements and deploy solutions.
- Data Governance: Maintain data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- DAX Calculations: Utilize DAX for advanced data analysis.
- SQL Querying: Employ SQL to retrieve and manipulate data effectively.
