We firmly believe that AI success is anchored in robust data foundations, semantics, and governance. What We’re Looking For: We seek a Senior Snowflake Data & AI Platform Engineer with extensive, hands-on experience in building production-grade analytical data platforms.In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in scaling our Snowflake-based analytics platform, shaping data products, ensuring governance, and enabling AI capabilities, while serving as a technical reference point for both internal teams and clients. This position is tailored for seasoned professionals who prioritize platform-first thinking over project-first approaches. Key ResponsibilitiesSnowflake Analytics & Platform Engineering:Design and enhance Snowflake-native analytical data products.Create reusable, governed semantic datasets for positions, transactions, cash, performance, P&L, and risk.Utilize Snowflake native features like Dynamic Tables, Streams and Tasks, Secure Views, RBAC, data sharing, and strategies for cost and workload optimization.Data Semantics & ModelingConvert Avaloq Core Platform (ACP) structures into business-relevant analytical models.Employ contemporary modeling methods such as dimensional modeling and medallion or data product-oriented architectures.Establish consistent metrics, KPIs, and analytical domains that can be reused across clients.Ensure datasets are discoverable, well-documented, and reliable.Governance, Security & QualityImplement Snowflake-native governance frameworks including masking policies, row-level security, object tagging, and access policies. Integrate data quality, security, and trust into the platform by design.AI & Advanced Analytics EnablementPrepare the platform for enterprise-level AI applications.Facilitate AI and advanced analytics use cases leveraging Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark ML, vector search, and document intelligence.Emphasize AI enablement and operationalization rather than merely data science experimentation.Support analytics, intelligence, and automation scenarios across banking sectors.Collaboration & Technical LeadershipServe as a senior technical reference for Snowflake within the team.Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, and Engineers across various locations.Assist in proofs of concept and other technical initiatives.
