About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Senior Data Scientist with a focus on Product Data Quality to join our Data Science team in Cape Town. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the analytical and technical framework governing product data quality within our ecosystem, encompassing catalog hygiene, transaction matching, classification modeling, deduplication, and global product identity. Your responsibilities will span both the structured catalog domain and the larger, more complex sales transaction landscape, as you build models and infrastructure that enhance search, recommendations, and business intelligence. This is a high-impact position that requires a blend of analytical expertise and robust engineering skills: you will be responsible for transitioning models from research to production, constructing scalable data pipelines, and establishing the monitoring infrastructure that ensures our product data foundation is reliable and continually improving. Your contributions will have a direct impact on search relevance, recommendation quality, match rates, and reporting accuracy across the organization.
