Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development. Active TS/SCI security clearance. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Expertise in Python (adhering to PEP8, Google Style Guide, type hints, and docstring conventions) and familiarity with C++. Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, specifically for computer vision applications. Strong background in object detection, scene interpretation, and spatial reasoning. Practical experience in unsupervised learning methodologies and dataset creation. Capability to operate in secure environments while adhering to stringent code review and documentation protocols. Desirable Qualifications: Familiarity with geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) workflows and various imagery types. Understanding of Air Force / DoD software security requirements and classified development methodologies. Experience in designing dynamic and auditable data structures for knowledge retention. Proven ability to work collaboratively with government technical managers (GTMs) and SMEs in a fast-paced prototyping environment.

***This position requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with the capability to obtain a CI Polygraph.***

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative computer vision prototypes to identify and analyze interactions among various objects within multi-modal imagery.
  • Utilize both unsupervised and supervised learning techniques to enhance mission-specific analytical processes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to curate and manage datasets for training and evaluation purposes.
  • Integrate developed prototypes into NASIC as well as broader DoD/IC IT frameworks, ensuring the design and maintenance of robust data structures that facilitate dynamic updates and auditability.
  • Adhere to secure software development standards by employing Python (preferably version 3.11+) and/or C++ in government repositories.
  • Conduct prototype evaluations, code walkthroughs, and demonstrations for NASIC stakeholders.
  • Engage in bi-weekly technical interchange meetings to provide status updates.
