ABOUT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab is a pioneering aerospace company on a mission to make space accessible. We offer comprehensive launch services, full spacecraft design and manufacturing, and cutting-edge satellite components, all aimed at enabling vital global space missions including scientific exploration, Earth monitoring, national security, and innovative technology demonstrations.
Our Electron rocket ranks as the second most frequently launched U. S. rocket annually, successfully delivering over 230 satellites into orbit. We are also developing Neutron, our next-generation medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle designed for larger satellite constellations. Our Space Systems division designs and builds an extensive array of satellites, payloads, and components that support prestigious NASA missions to the Moon and Mars, including parts utilized in the James Webb Space Telescope.
NEUTRON
At Rocket Lab, we are bringing our innovative medium-lift launch vehicle, Neutron, to fruition. As a Senior Development Engineer, you will be crucial in defining the architecture of this vehicle, collaborating closely with analysis and manufacturing engineers to develop concepts, detailed designs, and drawing packages for both metallic and composite components. You will also play a key role in conducting development and qualification tests to ensure that Neutron’s materials, components, and assemblies meet their functional and performance requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Rapidly produce and refine conceptual designs in CAD for structures and mechanisms associated with the Neutron launch vehicle.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to facilitate project progress.
