Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a highly organized and meticulous Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the coordination of our autonomous surface vessels (ASVs) development for Department of Defense initiatives. In this pivotal role, your chief responsibility will be to maintain engineering schedules, ensure proper resource allocation, and facilitate effective communication between technical and leadership teams.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables while developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
Team Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to guarantee successful project execution.
Resource Management: Assist in the management of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and project issues, implementing mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior project managers.
Budget Tracking: Support monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenditures, and reporting on financial performance.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular project status updates for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring documentation compliance with internal processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure project alignment and expectations are met.
Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and promptly address any issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant field.
A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an engineering or technical environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Gantt charts, scheduling software).
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
