CGS Federal is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior FOIA Paralegal to enhance our legal team's efforts in supporting the mission of a prominent federal agency. This role provides an opportunity for candidates to showcase their expertise in legal review and the processing of FOIA requests, along with various litigation support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough searches and analyze result sets, differentiating between non-responsive and responsive documents, while identifying responsive documents that may be subject to privilege or FOIA exemptions.
- Perform redaction and coding of responsive documents.
- Execute legal research as needed.
- Draft various legal documents to support litigation efforts.

Qualifications:
- A paralegal certificate, Juris Doctor (JD), or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study completed is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in litigation as a paralegal; trial experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency with eDiscovery and document review tools such as Nuix Investigate and Relativity is highly desired.
- Extensive experience in processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
- Proven knowledge of FOIA regulations and the application of exemptions.
- Strong foundational legal knowledge, including the ability to cite-check legal motions and memoranda, alongside experience using legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of various computer applications including word processing, databases, and document management systems.
