- Facilitating fit sessions for designated product lines.
- Assisting the technologist team in conducting fit sessions across various product categories.
- Ensuring meticulous and consistent analysis of all technical issues, with clear and precise feedback provided to suppliers.
- Collaborating with Design and Buying teams to deliver technical support for new product initiatives.
- Engaging with suppliers to rectify weaknesses and bolster strengths.
- Identifying and proposing new projects.
- Monitoring factory performance and keeping detailed records of data analysis.
- Managing the critical path and proactively identifying potential issues.
- Staying informed about fiber composition labeling and product safety regulations.
- Upholding quality standards while maintaining a strong commercial perspective.
- Maintaining the supplier performance database.
- Delivering continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions.
- Providing feedback to the Technical Manager, colleagues, and technologists with suggestions for enhancing procedures and practices.
- A relevant technical qualification, ideally at a degree level, is required, alongside a minimum of 6-7 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience working directly with factories, with a deep understanding of factory operations, machinery, and equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of fitting and fit issues is essential, while pattern-cutting skills are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with grading and grade rules.
- In-depth understanding of garment construction and fabric technology, including testing protocols.
- Exceptional communication skills are essential, with experience working across different cultures.
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively, inspiring and motivating team members.
- Capable of approaching new challenges positively and taking ownership of projects as directed by the Technical Manager or Head of QA.
