About the job
ABOUT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab is a pioneering space company providing comprehensive launch services, innovative spacecraft design and manufacturing, payload delivery, satellite components, and more, all aimed at democratizing access to space. The rockets and satellites we engineer and launch facilitate some of the most ambitious and crucial space missions worldwide, aiding scientific exploration, Earth observation, initiatives against climate change, national security, and groundbreaking technology demonstrations.
Our Electron rocket has emerged as the second most frequently launched U. S. rocket annually, successfully delivering over 230 satellites into orbit. We are also developing Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle designed for larger constellation deployments. Our Space Systems division designs and manufactures a vast array of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft selected for NASA missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.
SPACE SYSTEMS
At Rocket Lab, we are not just launching rockets; we are shaping the future of space exploration. Our Space Systems team is responsible for building everything from complete spacecraft and precision payloads to the subsystems that enable them to thrive in space, such as solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, separation systems, radios, and more.
Our Space Systems team has supported over 1,700 missions, spanning interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing, and national security initiatives. We have developed spacecraft, payloads, and components for missions to the Moon and Mars, collaborating with partners like NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U. S. Space Force. Whether it’s a singular high-performance spacecraft, a constellation, or the vertically integrated components that facilitate their journey to space, our world-class Space Systems team empowers some of the boldest and most ambitious space missions.
