Experience in Hydraulic Modelling, GIS, or Data Analysis, particularly with ArcGIS or MapInfo. Familiarity with Hydraulic Modelling or Asset Management, specifically using Innovyze ICM or InfoAsset. Demonstrated experience in water consultancy. Additionally, you should be self-driven, capable of working independently when necessary, possess a strong commitment to excellence, a willingness to learn, and a desire to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented team environment.

Join our vibrant and interdisciplinary Water Team as a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller. You will have the flexibility to operate from one of our offices across the UK or Ireland while embracing our adaptable hybrid working model.

Your role will be pivotal in delivering meaningful water projects both within the UK and on an international scale. We facilitate the development of major flood alleviation initiatives, pollution mitigation strategies, and essential infrastructure projects, all of which will be crucial to your ongoing professional development. A distinctive feature of our methodology is the complete integration of our modelling team with broader project teams, ensuring close collaboration with experts from various disciplines to create well-rounded solutions.

As a leader in Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we collaborate with public and private sector clients, including Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, the Environment Agency, LLFAs, and other infrastructure stakeholders. We provide Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and comprehensive designs. We set industry benchmarks by advising and formulating guidelines that reflect best practices, keeping AECOM at the forefront of the water sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Development: Construct hydraulic models and verify sewer networks; lead integrated model development, assist with project scoping and planning, including flow survey verification, and develop catchment-scale strategic solutions for flooding and pollution issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide innovative technical solutions, including the application of new technologies; address client challenges and develop project scopes and tender submissions.
  • Reporting: Create and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate modelling outcomes, employing strong communication abilities.
  • Leadership: Mentor and assist team members in their professional growth while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Quality Assurance: Review hydraulic models, calculations, and technical reports to guarantee high-quality delivery and adherence to modelling specifications.
