Become part of our team, enhance your career, and help deliver this extraordinary project!Key Responsibilities:As a pivotal member of our Transmission & Distribution team, you will lead and engage with our clients to successfully deliver technically demanding overhead line (OHL) design projects.Your main responsibilities as a Principal OHL Engineer will include providing technical support and overseeing the design of transmission projects, focusing on overhead transmission lines up to 400kV.Deliver technical expertise in overhead line design for complex multi-disciplinary projects.Engage in significant work programs such as those associated with the Great Grid Partnership.Assist in drafting proposals that detail all aspects of the projects, including timelines, resources, budgets, objectives, and goals.Provide technical support and involvement throughout project implementation, statutory planning, and public consultation events.Lead design activities related to overhead lines, including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structural analysis, design criteria formulation, sag-tension calculations, insulator/conductor assessments, and clearance reports.Conduct feasibility studies, thermal ratings of conductors, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Research and present the most technically viable solution/layout to clients.Generate and review engineering deliverables, such as complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.Perform quality assurance checks on engineering drawings and calculations.Enjoy Exceptional Benefits.At AECOM, we offer a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
