Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to design and implement machine learning and generative AI microservices focused on automating application reviews. Integrate these services within a full-stack engineering environment, ensuring a seamless review process that includes human oversight and feedback loops. Establish robust testing, observability, alerting, and disaster recovery protocols for all services. Implement performance metrics, tracing, and regression testing to maintain high service standards. Embrace product ownership with a proactive approach, contributing to small and medium-sized projects that shape the future of Mercury. Ideal Candidate Profile:Over 7 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, backend software development, or DevOps. Proficient with a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Dagster, and Airflow. Strong command of SQL, dbt, and Python. Experienced in OLAP/OLTP data modeling and architecture. Familiar with key-value stores like Redis or DynamoDB. Knowledgeable in streaming and real-time data pipelines using Kinesis, Kafka, or Redpanda. Experience with API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask. Proven track record in deploying production ML services. Capable of working within a full-stack development environment, with transferable skills to Haskell, React, and TypeScript.
