Intent-Based Engineering: Develop alternative technical solutions when literal remediation hinders operational success, leveraging extensive system knowledge and industry best practices to uphold the core security intent of frameworks while ensuring system functionality. Design & Implementation: Lead the practical technical development, configuration, and deployment of secure IT infrastructures and custom security tools, ensuring all architectures are defensible during audits. Threat Defense & Mitigation Strategy: Craft high-level strategies, playbooks, and architectures for threat detection and incident response. Oversee the vulnerability mitigation lifecycle, guiding daily monitoring efforts while focusing on proactive, structural defense enhancements. Collaborative Security: Foster a culture of security collaboration within the team and across departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment on security initiatives.

Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Engineer
We are on the lookout for a forward-thinking Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Engineer to design, construct, and safeguard the highly secure environments that underpin our advanced research and development projects. As a pivotal security architect, you will adeptly reconcile stringent government security protocols (NIST, STIGs, CMMC) with intricate operational engineering. In this leadership role, you will steer the strategic design of our secure infrastructure, facilitate DevSecOps integration across various software projects, and develop effective, intent-driven security solutions. If you are proficient at balancing strict compliance mandates with practical engineering challenges and thrive in a multifaceted role encompassing infrastructure defense, network architecture, and application security, we want you to lead our talented team.
The preferred locations for this role are San Antonio, TX, and Arlington, VA. This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in the office at either location.
