Role overview
The Senior Manager of Strategic Communications shapes the organization’s voice, both inside the company and in the public sphere. This leader develops and implements messaging that reflects company goals and technical milestones. The role bridges business objectives with daily operations, translating complex technical initiatives into clear, compelling stories. Building systems and processes that support communication across teams is a key focus.
This position reports to the Head of Communications and is based in Palo Alto, California. Flexible work arrangements are available.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic orchestration: Connect high-level business goals to communication activities. Partner with Internal Communications, Engineering, Product, and Legal teams to keep messaging consistent and workflows coordinated.
- Narrative clarity: Articulate the reasoning behind technical and business strategies. Transform complex software and architectural developments into accessible stories that motivate teams and enhance the company’s reputation.
- Operational excellence: Build and improve the communications framework. Develop processes, toolkits, and feedback systems to help the team operate efficiently and respond to changing needs.
