Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of the Special Accounts Management Unit will oversee the management of commercial default files and problem accounts, including conventional, insured, and construction loans. You will ensure compliance with underwriting standards, company policies, and AML requirements. Your role involves enforcing mortgage contract conditions for facilities in default and proactively developing strategies to mitigate legal actions and minimize losses to the bank.

As the principal contact, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, real estate agents, brokers, and various bank departments, ensuring efficient processing of transactions. Additionally, you will provide support to the Director and AVP of Special Loans and Restructuring through underwriting, credit analysis, portfolio management, reporting, and ad hoc requests from senior management. You will also play a crucial role in training and mentoring team members.
