About the job

About the Opportunity
As a key member of our legal team, you will report directly to the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Privacy and AI Governance. Your primary responsibility will be to create, implement, and manage privacy-oriented governance for the development and deployment of AI technologies. This role serves as the framework owner, advisor, and process architect, ensuring adherence to global AI laws, privacy regulations, and ethical standards through collaborative efforts with Product, Security, Legal, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the AI Program Governance and Policy: Assess the relevance of international AI regulations, spearhead policy formulation, serve as the Framework Owner, and establish ethical norms and clear directives for AI development. Enhance efficiency in substantial assessments (Privacy, Safety, AI) and advocate for AI-enabled tools to optimize resources.
  • Manage AI Incident Response: Evaluate and refine incident response procedures to integrate AI-specific triggers and regulatory reporting structures, ensuring alignment with existing roles and Security’s AI Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Oversee AI Risk Management: Sustain the AI Risk Management Policy and define a standard risk taxonomy (rights-based vs. technical risks).
  • Ensure Accuracy, Robustness, and Cybersecurity: Provide guidance on adjusting security and compliance programs to fulfill AI-specific legal requirements and work alongside technical teams to verify that models meet established accuracy metrics and compliance standards.
  • Implement Quality Management and Monitoring: Review and enhance the standard Quality Management System (QMS) protocols for AI design, testing, validation, and post-market surveillance. Maintain standard processes and reporting templates for ongoing model performance and compliance.
  • Specialist Consultation: Facilitate specialized legal analyses (e.g., IP, Employment) with relevant co-counsel.
