Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments of existing build processes and identify critical gaps in quality and safety. Lead and enhance the PFMEA process with cross-functional collaboration. Establish an Incoming Quality Control (IQC) framework, develop supplier qualification criteria, and lay the groundwork for supplier quality management. Work in tandem with design and engineering teams to identify high-risk product failure modes early, integrating quality considerations into design reviews. Define control, verification, and sampling plans to ensure that part quality aligns with our rigorous requirements throughout development and production.

Role Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer will take the lead in building quality engineering practices at Peak Energy’s Burlingame, California location. This role sets up foundational quality systems, implements PFMEA and in-process quality controls, and manages supplier and incoming component quality. Collaboration with engineering, operations, and leadership teams is central to defining standards and processes that ensure the safety and reliability of battery systems for customer deployment.
