Qualifications
Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design of solar array subassemblies and their associated deployment mechanisms. Conduct system-level and component-level trade studies to determine the most effective mechanical configurations. Develop CAD models throughout the design lifecycle—from initial concepts to detailed, manufacturable components. Execute engineering analyses, including structural, dynamic, and thermal simulations to validate designs. Specify detailed manufacturing requirements through comprehensive part drawings and documentation. Create and maintain essential documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), material specifications, and mass models. Contribute to test plans and verification strategies, actively participating in qualification campaigns. Present designs and analyses during internal reviews and provide comprehensive technical documentation. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in designing and qualifying mechanisms for space applications. Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
