We create innovative technologies that function at the crossroads of cyber and electromagnetic domains, where operational speed surpasses human perception and complexity exceeds traditional limits. Our team excels not just in problem-solving but in delivering transformative outcomes that directly influence national security. We are pragmatic optimists who recognize that while the mission of protecting America and its allies is daunting, achieving success is attainable.
Role Overview
As a Senior Mission Architect, you will be the foremost domain authority integrated within a product team, ensuring that our developments align with actual user operations. Your role involves transforming genuine operational workflows, constraints, and edge cases into precise product requirements, verifiable acceptance criteria, and high-quality user experiences. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, engineers, designers, and researchers, you will ensure that product decisions are firmly rooted in reality. This position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in their field who seeks to influence software that significantly enhances outcomes for users in the field.
Your Profile
You possess substantial credibility in your area and can instinctively differentiate between theoretical concepts and practical applications.
You are passionate about developing products that perform well under genuine operational pressures, not merely in ideal testing environments.
You thrive in ambiguous situations, adeptly translating complex, incomplete information into clear directives for your team.
Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse audiences, from hands-on practitioners to high-level executives.
You elevate quality standards by maintaining rigorous expectations regarding workflows, usability, and the definition of 'done' from the user's perspective.
You excel at collaborating with product and engineering teams, even when they lack your specific domain knowledge.
You are entrusted to provide candid feedback, sound judgment, and a practical outlook on challenging trade-offs.
Key Responsibilities
Translate intricate user workflows, decision-making points, and constraints into clear requirements and user stories for engineering teams.
Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), refine project scopes, and ensure that roadmap items accurately reflect real user needs.
Establish and refine acceptance criteria to ensure that delivered solutions are validated against operational realities, not just theoretical scenarios.
