Senior Network Engineer - Aruba Wireless Expertise (ISP/WISP)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer specializing in Aruba enterprise wireless deployments, with a robust background in ISP/WISP environments. This role is pivotal for leading hands-on wireless implementations, executing complex troubleshooting, and ensuring the functionality of high-performance network infrastructures.
This position is not solely support-focused; it encompasses a blend of project-driven tasks, Level 3 escalations, and direct client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Aruba Enterprise Wireless (Primary Focus)
- Oversee comprehensive Aruba deployments including Controllers, APs, and Aruba Central.
- Perform RF analysis, analyze heatmaps, and enhance coverage.
- Design and maintain high-density wireless environments.
- Manage performance and troubleshooting post-deployment.
ISP/WISP Infrastructure (Secondary Focus)
- Configure and resolve issues with Mikrotik and Cisco devices (CLI-intensive).
- Manage routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, VLANs, and network segmentation.
- Support PTP/PTMP wireless links (Cambium, Ubiquiti, etc.).
- Monitor network performance and address outages.
Essential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Aruba wireless networks.
- Experience in a WISP/ISP environment.
- Proficient CLI capabilities in Mikrotik (RouterOS) and Cisco (IOS/NX-OS).
- Strong comprehension of:
- TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, QoS.
- Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with RF planning and wireless link design (PTP/PTMP).
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities (packet capture, spectrum analysis).
Preferred Qualifications
- Aruba certifications (ACMA, ACMP, ACDP).
- Experience with multi-site or large-scale deployments.
Role Structure
- Combination of project-based implementation and Level 3 escalations.
- Engagement with clients during deployments and issue resolution.
- Includes on-call responsibilities for network incidents.
