Capacity to manage high volumes of work while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in leading teams of over 50 individuals, with a strong track record of employee development. Demonstrated ability to address urgent operational issues through effective root cause analysis. Exceptional communication skills are required. A minimum of 8 years of management experience in the automotive or lean manufacturing sector is essential. A valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years is mandatory. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Physical capability to stand for extended periods, engage in frequent stretching, walking, and other physical activities in a potentially cold, hot, noisy, and wet environment.

Carvana is hiring a Senior Operations Manager for its Oklahoma City Inspection & Reconditioning Center. This leader manages several reconditioning lines, focusing on production targets and operational efficiency throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct multiple reconditioning lines, planning and coordinating production activities for an entire shift.
  • Act as the facility leader in the General Manager's absence, ensuring production, cost, and quality goals are met or exceeded.
  • Spot bottlenecks impacting throughput and efficiency, analyze root causes, and develop action plans in partnership with site leadership and associates.
  • Lead weekly performance reviews with senior leadership, sharing updates on progress, challenges, and recommended next steps.
  • Conduct daily manager huddles to set team priorities and expectations.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives at the home site and potentially across the region, including process changes and training rollouts.
  • Guide the development of Reconditioning Leads and Managers by supporting growth plans and providing regular, competency-based feedback.
  • Demonstrate Carvana's core values through leadership, collaboration, and clear, consistent communication on the shop floor.
  • Ensure all operational standards and processes are consistently followed.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention protocols.
