Job Overview

We are in search of a Senior Perception & Autonomy Engineer to take a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of perception systems for our autonomous surface vessels. Our dedicated team is focused on enabling vessels to operate and execute tasks independently of human intervention. This position is available at various levels, including entry, senior, and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement algorithms and models that empower vessels to perceive and navigate their environment.

  • Establish metrics for the quantitative assessment of enhancements and regressions in vessel performance.

  • Conduct analysis and manage extensive data systems to facilitate model training and evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Proficient programming skills

    • Substantial programming experience with a proven track record of working on large systems.

  • Computational Knowledge

    • Solid understanding of operating systems and large-scale system architecture.

    • Familiarity with fundamental computer architecture concepts.

  • Proven eagerness to learn and adapt based on emerging information.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

  • Understanding of various filtering techniques and their applications.

  • Proficiency in Rust programming language.

  • Experience with maritime or autonomous vehicle projects.

  • Background in signal processing or sensor fusion.

  • Experience with low-latency inference and tracking systems.

  • Familiarity with path planning algorithms.

  • Experience in training and deploying multimodal models.

  • Experience with various sensors including radar, cameras, and LiDAR.

  • Experience in developing and optimizing deployed machine learning systems.
