This hands-on position encompasses supporting the full accounting cycle, conducting technical accounting reviews, recording transactions, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and managing period-end close activities alongside financial statement preparation.As our accounting team expands, we seek a candidate who excels in a dynamic environment and is eager to embrace greater responsibilities and complex tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our systems as we continue to grow.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger & Chart of AccountsOwn and manage the Chart of Accounts (COA); create, modify, or retire account codes within the ERP system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct or similar).Collaborate with the Controller to document accounting policies for account usage and mapping.Review ledger activity for accuracy; investigate and rectify coding errors.Assist in transition activities from outsourcing partners and train new team members.Journal Entries & Technical AccountingPrepare and post complex journal entries, including expense accruals, prepaid amortizations, and lease accounting (ASC 842).Maintain the lease accounting schedule; calculate ROU assets and lease liability roll-forwards.
