About the Role

What are we looking for:

We seek a Senior Backend Engineer (PHP) who is passionate about tackling complex challenges, designing robust systems, and building dependable services that can handle significant traffic effectively. If you excel in distributed environments, prioritize code quality, and enjoy working with event-driven architectures, you will thrive at Fever.

You will engage with backend systems that support extensive experiences, payment processing, reconciliation, and high-traffic flows utilized by millions globally .

Your first month at Fever:

Fully onboard into Fever’s engineering culture, architecture, and technical stack (PHP 8, microservices, Docker, AWS, CI/CD).
Collaborate closely with your team during planning sessions, grooming, and retrospectives.
Make initial contributions to production systems with multiple PRs merged.
Understand and interact with essential services: authentication, payments, reconciliation, operational tools.
Experience one of Fever’s events, such as Candlelight .

After three months at Fever:

Design and implement backend solutions from architecture to production-ready code.
Continue to develop and maintain high-performance PHP services...
