As a Senior Planning Engineer at Hanmiglobal Saudi, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing project timelines. Your expertise will ensure that project schedules align with contractual obligations, facilitating timely project delivery. In this key role, you will be tasked with comprehensive planning, scheduling, and progress reporting, while proactively identifying potential risks and advising on corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, review, and approve baseline, revised, recovery, update, and lookahead schedules to maintain project momentum.
- Update milestone schedules during the mobilization phase and distribute revised schedules post-approval by the Project Director.
- Monitor weekly progress reports to accurately reflect the actual project status, including dates, percentage completion, and planned activities.
- Inform the Senior Resident Engineer about deviations from budgeted man-hours or scheduled time, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary.
- Ensure that project submittals by the Contractor comply with all contract requirements.
- Review and provide feedback on Contractors’ manpower planning, cost-loaded schedules, and submittal logs.
- Track Contractors’ progress against the approved program and report any delays to the Resident Engineer.
- Analyze Contractors’ progress reports, revised programs, and time extension requests, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare monthly progress reports in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors and other engineering professionals.
- Evaluate Contractors’ claims and variation orders employing effective delay analysis techniques.
