Role overview
The Senior Principal Electrical Engineer will be part of the Plant Design team in Moses Lake, WA. This group leads technical delivery for new capital projects, focusing on the electrical design of process plants, electrolyzers, and related equipment that transform CO2 into valuable products. The position spans the entire project lifecycle, from early concepts to stable operations. Regular collaboration with both internal engineering teams and external partners is a key part of the work.
What you will do
- Create electrical engineering deliverables for Front-End Loading (FEL) phases 1, 2, and 3, acting as Twelve's owner's engineer throughout each project.
- Work with other electrical engineers on balance of plant electrical systems for process plants and electrolyzer installations.
- Coordinate with internal teams across process, controls, instrumentation, mechanical, procurement, and project management disciplines.
- Interface with external EPC firms, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, OEMs, and consultants.
- Ensure plant designs meet standards for reliability, maintainability, constructability, operability, and safety.
- Collaborate with business development to integrate improvements into Twelve's core technologies.
- Review and validate electrical drawings, equipment data sheets, requisition packages, Engineering and Construction Work Packages, Material Take-Offs/Estimates, FAT/SAT plans, commissioning plans, and startup activities.
- Oversee or guide third-party electrical engineering interfaces.
- Conduct or direct electrical studies as needed.
- Provide technical support to on-site construction teams and assist with plant commissioning and startup.
