Primary Responsibilities:Design robust manufacturing processes capable of accommodating variations in input materials and equipment settings while ensuring output quality. Plan and execute verification processes to confirm initial feasibility and manufacturing capabilities. Identify and resolve process-related challenges, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective measures. Engage in hands-on experimentation and diagnostics to troubleshoot and enhance new process implementations and existing manufacturing operations. Develop detailed process flow diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other essential documentation to uphold quality and consistency. Establish appropriate Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies for new processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for process optimization. Prepare and deliver concise reports to various program partners, detailing the readiness of manufacturing processes. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Polymers, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, complemented by hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience.8+ years of experience in the lamination of thin film layers. Proficient in utilizing large lamination tools such as hydraulic presses, bladder presses, and roll-to-roll nip rollers. Demonstrated experience in tool procurement processes, including ERS, FAT, SAT, and installation and commissioning efforts. Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with electrolyzers, fuel cells, or other electrochemical technologies is a plus.
